Cookie Information
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and to improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by MDP Carservice Srl, and how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same site visit (session cookies) or later, even after several days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored—based on the user’s preferences—by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as web beacons, transparent GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and the use of services.
In this document, we will use the term “cookies” to refer to cookies and all similar technologies.
Types of Cookies
Based on their characteristics and use, cookies can be categorized as follows:
Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the correct functioning of the website and are used to manage login and access to restricted features. These cookies are typically only stored during the session (they are deleted once the browser is closed), unless the user uses the “Remember me” option in the login form, which generates cookies that last longer (up to one year) to recognize the user’s computer and allow direct access to restricted areas. Disabling these cookies may compromise access to services requiring login. The public part of the website remains fully usable.
Analytics and performance cookies. These cookies are used to anonymously collect and analyze website traffic and usage. They do not identify users, but help track repeat visits and monitor system performance to improve usability. Disabling these cookies does not affect functionality.
Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify user preferences (anonymously or not) and enhance the browsing experience. This website does not use cookies of this type.
Third-party Cookies
When visiting a website, you may receive cookies from both the visited site (“first-party”) and sites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). An example is the presence of social plugins for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are components generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the host site’s page to enable content sharing on social networks.
The presence of these plugins entails the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of the data collected by “third parties” is governed by their respective privacy policies. For your convenience, the links to the respective cookie policies and management options are provided below:

Google Analytics
This website includes some components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the site’s performance.
Google Analytics uses “cookies” to anonymously collect and analyze information about website usage behavior (including the user’s IP address). These data are collected by Google Analytics and processed to produce reports for MDP CarService Srl operators regarding website activities. This website does not use (nor allow third parties to use) Google analytics tools to collect personal identification data. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google, nor does it attempt to link an IP address with a user’s identity. Google may also transfer this information to third parties when required by law or when these third parties process the data on Google’s behalf.

You can selectively disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google for your browser:

Cookie Duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” after the browser is closed and are also available during subsequent visits.
These are known as persistent cookies, and their duration is set by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases, an expiration date is set; in others, the duration is unlimited. While browsing this website, you may interact with third-party sites that can create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.
Cookie Management
Users can decide whether to accept cookies using their browser settings.
Warning: disabling technical cookies, fully or partially, may compromise the use of features reserved for registered users. However, public content can still be accessed even if cookies are completely disabled.
Disabling third-party cookies does not affect navigation.
Settings can be customized for each website and web application. Modern browsers also allow users to set different preferences for first-party and third-party cookies.
For example, in Firefox:
go to Tools → Options → Privacy, where a control panel allows you to define whether or not to accept various types of cookies and to remove them.
